it was the holidays and i was walking to the bus stop. this homeless looking guy with a obviously beatup face and broken nose walked by looking depressed, i looked him in the eyes and smiled real big and just said merry christmas! he looked startled but then his whole face lit up. he just needed someone to acknowledge him in a friendly way and it gave him a boost. i wonder if things ever got better for him. everybody needs that little act of friendship in passing.

Picked him up off the street, hed been walking for days, soaked his feet and wrapped them up kept him around for a few months then helped him get to Delaware...thats one of a million different things but just came to mind.
