This is coming from someone that knows people in the sports media. The Eagles would not release McNabb. For several reason. He's under contract for 3-4 more years, they wouldn't release him without getting anything for him, he's playing hurt and that's obvious. He can't help when his offensvie line is letting people sack him. Please understand this: That the Eagles will not trade McNabb to Chicago. They won't trade him to the NFC teams. He could end up in Minnesota. I saw an answer that the Eagles could get a couple good players for McNabb. If he's traded which in the NFL there are very few trades. The Eagles would probally get a couple of draft picks. In the 3rd or 4th round. His value is very little. People say about having Garcia as backup in Philly. But Garcia wanted to get starter money. And the Eagles would not pay him that money. Lets look at it like this. McNabb will be gone at the end of the season. And the Eagles will start to rebuild in the 08-09 season. There will be many star players not on this team next year. Like McNabb, and Dawkins, and Kearse.

Garcia was great w/ the Eagles, but they wouldn't have released McNabb and he'd end up the backup again. The way the o-line was playing, it didn't matter WHO was out there. Garcia would have been sacked 12 times, just like McNabb. Trust me, the Eagles have bigger problems than Donovan McNabb.

You haters ought to get a grip! McNabb continues to be no longer a 300 and sixty 5 days removed from important surgical operation; supply him a destroy. how a lot of you clowns might additionally be jogging yet?!?! we could no longer forget that his 2d sought after objective, LJ Smith, has been out of harm all 3 hundred and sixty 5 days besides. The Birds gained with Garcia because of the fact they replaced their game plan and centred greater on the run. Garcia is greater appropriate at 3 step drops and a rapid launch yet that is approximately it. You gotta blame the front workplace for his or her issues. they have had undesirable drafts and spent thousands and thousands on piss-undesirable unfastened brokers like Howard and Kearse. for sure, all of us know of their deficiencies at extensive receiver. like it or no longer, that's McNabb's group as long as he's there. there grew to become into no way they have been going to pay Garcia starter's money to be a backup and that's what he needed; starter's money.

McNabb looks slow and out of sync,Garcia is playing better than him,you know McNabb is not doing good when he starts using the race card as an excuse,in his great days he never had to resort to such tactics

hwmmm...to the guy knocking Garcia...which team is leading the NFC south? and which team is dead last in the NFC east? Seems like Garcia is doing way better...cause he is not making mistakes. Their only loss was to Seattle...after he got knocked outta the game. And he may be old...but he is a darn sight more mobile than McNabb....yeah losing Westbrook is bad...but what was the excuse the first two weeks? That black QBs are under harsher scrutiny.....

Yes they Shoulda kept Garcia...he only took em into the playoffs after all.....

YES. After watching only a few minutes worth of McNabb's "glorified" QB plays, I was sickened. Philly won more games with Garcia than they're winning now. I say they should have cut McNabb permanently and kept Garcia...he's definitely the better of the two.

NO- garcia is 38-39 years old. He is not blowing the doors off as QB in Tampa either.

The Eagles are sucking, but McNabb being on his back wasn't his fault.

maybe they could have traded McNabb for some linemen, a 2nd RB and/or a quality receiver.
McNabb would do better with a different team--he cannot carry all that weight. No QB could win with such a depleted team.

I will leave the EAGLES loyal to, debate that point. all I know is the GIANTS, aren't 30th in sacks anymore. thanks to the vaunte'd EAGLES O line, they are tied for 1st with, Chicago.
they should have spent some money and, gotten some depth there.luckily, Westbrook,, wasn't there or, they would likely be missing Him for a few more weeks.
isn't it great when, things revert to their natural order?!!!

I would say so, since they probably would have drafted Kevin Kolb anyway. Kolb could have learned from Garcia for a year and then start for the Eagles.
