Students these days will get caught doing something and deny they did it... and they actually will never admit their mistakes... they will take the extra punishment than admit their mistakes. It's really troubling to look at a student of mines eyes and see that he actually is going to play that he didn't just throw what I saw him throw. It's getting a lot worse.

Decreasing Moral Values

2016-12-11 15:06:28 · answer #2 · answered by rindos 4 · 0 0

Most people do what society has trained them to do. Our society uses praise to shape our behavior from infancy. We are praised for acceptable behavior and scolded/punished for unacceptable behavior. When we grow to adulthood, this training results in feelings. We feel good though imagined praise when we are honest and feel bad when we are dishonest.

What appears to be moral values increasing or decreasing is really a measure of how well society is doing in training us.

There is one other important factor. When we see that society is trying to control us through feelings, we resent it. We don't like being controlled like that. To fix this problem, society adds a moral authority, i.e. God, and then it appears like society is only reinforcing what God has already said. As society rejects God, that factor slowly fades away.

Its depends, its in 50-50 stage. It would be wrong of us to generalize that the moral values are decreasing. And inorder to increase the moral values we ought to appreciate their rights so that they would get motivated.

It depends on what you call moral vcalues. Values also evolve and yesterday's morality is no big deal today. Overall I think it remains the same at all times, if you can measure it by the prevailing standards.
