I'm having an EXTREMELY hard time finding clothes that look nice and fit me, and have already tried most American retailers (Saks, Nordstrom, Banana Republic, Abercrombie, Lacoste, etc...) with little to no luck.

And if fit wasn't hard enough to come by, most of the better quality clothing either doesn't interest me, or isn't interesting enough for the price. No way am I going to pay $200 for an Armani PLAIN black shirt.

Aren't there clothes out there that don't make it to our chain stores? Where else can I look?

It seems like, from travel shows at least, that Europe is dotted with exclusive custom tailored clothing stores that look really interesting. But I have no way to get to them! What do I do? We have nothing like that around here.

I would still consider going to real stores- Goodwill and other thrift shops are great places. Goodwill has an Online store also. But I think buying clothes in person is always better- to get a chance to try it on!
