Dear Santa

Dec 20, 1998

Dear Santa,
How are you this year?
I've been a real good boy
I’ve been in remission and
Would like a 'tinker' toy
Mum's helping write this letter
So it get's to you on time
Besides, there's some big words to
learn and I haven’t had the time

I loved the puppets you brought me
Last year when I was three
But, I was weak and bed ridden
So the staff did shows for me.

I wish all the kids had saw it,
It was really quite silly
But, there are only 4 kids left
Including little me

Remember Tommy Jamerson,
My 12 year old best friend?
Well, an angel came and took him
To be at Gods right hand.

I miss Tommy really bad but,
He left me with this gift
A baseball hat for my bare head
I think of him when wearing it.

Susan got to go home for
Christmas time this year!
She got that liver transplant
And is doing fine I hear.

Santa,
the doctor just came in
And I'm feeling quite amiss
I can write more to you later
After my dialysis.

Dear Santa,
This is Jacobs Mom
I felt that I should write
As Jacob so believed in you
And passed away last night
He had a special message
For you about a toy?
His last wish was, you to give it
To another girl or boy.

Dear Santa,
Thought I might let you know
I visited the childrens' ward
And watched children open presents
In 'Christmasy' self accord
I swore I saw my Jacob
Twirling that 'tinker' toy
But, I have not seen one in years
'Till I met the newly admitted boy
I just wanted to say thank you
For Jacob and for me
I will write you every Christmas
Jacob again, made me believe........

God Bless,
Hilbie Here

Once thanksgiving is over
thought turn to Christmas
There is much sadness
like some with cancer because
he or she is in remission
Then the person who had a liver transplant.
At one point I did Santa Claus letters
but stopped.

Now you've gone and done it. Do you have any idea how hard it is to hunt and peck on this keyboard with salt water in yer eyeballs? My god that was good.

edit: tell snagglepuss or whatever, to bite us both!
