"Cruising" starring Al Pacino in his grandest role, just came out of the film closet after a long hiatus.

Was really interesting to see what that certain culture was like in the late 1970's.

Go see the film, rent it or whatever. I give it high marks. (Two fists way up!)

I don't think the ending really made much sense.. I understand what it is showing.. but with the images they showed of the murders it didn't quite fit.. One thing I want to do is watch every movie listed in the book The Celluloid Closet.. and that was one of the hard ones to find for awhile.. (whereas, I had NO problem finding a little known German movie made in the 30's.. go figure)

Another one of Al Pacino's that just came out on DVD is Panic in Needle Park.. and although I have not watched that one it looks really interesting.. and I'm really curious to know how a movie about heroine addiction has a PG rating.

I remember that movie was very controversial when it was first released. As a result, it seems to almost never be included when people come up with lists of what they consider to be Al Pacino's best movies. He was good in this movie. Another thing I recall is that Smokey Robinson came out with a song of the same title at around the same time this movie was released. Many people thought the song came from the movie. It didn't.

When I first saw it, I thought it was the funniest film I ever saw. It was only later that I realized it wasn't supposed to be a comedy

My question is who killed the red head guy at the end of the movie?
