After 3 minutes of his talking about her being in jail, she told him she came to talk about her movie and clothing line and her perfume, but Dave kept talking about it, cracking sick jokes for 2 or 3 more minutes. Then he talked about her movie and perfume for about 2 minutes. Is he a complete jerk? This was last friday, its on youtube.

I think he should have let it go. It looked like he wanted to try to make her cry or something. Good thing she held herself together. Some people in the audience were laughing like it was so funny, but it wasn't. I wouldn't go on his show for awhile, he treated her like she was nothing but a joke. Plus, when he talked about the perfume, he started spraying it in his mouth and drinking it. I didn't find Dave funny at all that night.

No. This is Letterman's schtick. He's been grilling celebs for 25 years on his show. Did Hilton really think he invited her on to talk about (yawn) her new perfume and her new "movie" (which, by her track record, will undoubtedly be a stinker)? Earth to Paris, hello? She's been on with him before. She should know what he's all about. She would have fared far better if she would have laughed and threw some zingers back at Letterman. But she sat there and pouted and came across as someone with the personality of a paper bag. This is further proof that Paris lied when she said that her being stupid was all an "act". Celebs should know what they're getting into when they go on with Dave. Paris should have studied Madonna's appearances with Letterman. She handled him beautifully.

Yes? He seemed like a jerk to me. I'm not exactly Paris' biggest fan, but he kept hammering it in. He should have stopped, really. I'm in Australia, and I heard one news program saying that Paris threw a tantrum, but I don't think that's true at all. She was very good at holding herself together and not letting him affect her too much. Just because she isn't a model citizen, it doesn't mean people should treat her like dirt. The audience also seemed to applaud her when she tried to steer the conversation to her perfume and stuff. So, yes. It seems he is a jerk.
That being said, I'll still watch Letterman sometimes and I still won't watch Paris movies, listen to Paris songs or wear Paris perfumes.

Yes, Letterman is a jerk and has been a jerk for a long time now. An interviewer is meant to make his guest comfortable and voluble, but he obviously had his heart set on ridiculing her (granted she *does* have much to be ridiculed). In a way, he may just have been playing to the public, what passes for entertainment nowadays. If she had any wit, she would have been able to parry with a hostile interviewer, but alas... just watch any Maddona/Letterman interview. It gets ugly, but that woman holds her own all right.

She deserved it ! I don't know when you young girls are going to see that Paris, Nicole, Britney, and Lindsey are screwed up. They are borderline blasphemous. God blessed them with wealth and health prosperity. How do they show gratitude for the opportunities most would die for ? They act like idiots ! There are people all over the world who are gifted in the arts. They will never get a chance to show their gift ! But every chance she gets to be a better person Paris screws it up! She vowed that if she got out of jail. She would turn over a new leaf. But instead she went back to the party scene. Now that Nicole has a baby on the way. She's forced to stay clean. Lindsey is in rehab, really making a effort. Britney is feeling the wrath of the public for her bad behavior. After all of that Paris finally gets a wake up call. It finally clicked in her pea brain. "I guess being a party girl fu#k up, is out of style". So good for Dave to call her out ! She is shameless. Now her latest photo op, is going to Rwanda to jump on the band wagon. To add to the ever growing list of Celeb's going to Africa. Don't be surprised if she brings back a baby. Like it's some fancy handbag she brought back from vacation!!!

I dont think your link works very well, but I actually did see that interview. It was quite funny. The funniest part was when she said "now that I have been through this experience, I feel like I can accomplish anything". She is such a freaking joke.

Sadly, that is what David likes to do. Harass, Harass, Harass.
I've watched him do it to everyone from Richard Simmons to Bill O'Reilly. The only reason I watch him is because sometimes he has interesting guests.

I thought Paris Hilton got off easy with the court system; she more than paid for her errors with Letterman!
I never liked Letterman; he is another Jerry Springer.
