I never had it, but I heard it tastes like tuna!!

Baby Octopus is the most vile thing I have ever eaten, even if you eat it with seafood sauce it still tastes like car tyres or erasers.
I very much prefer Squid as in Squid Rings.

Squid - so yummy.
Recently tried octopus for the first time & it was shut your mouth delicious.
Both have to be done right of course.

I've had both and enjoyed both. I tend to enjoy octopus because people who prepare it, generally have more skills at cooking. Squid is made into calamari by anyone and everyone. Most places cook it to much and it turns into rubber. Plus, calamari looks like leftovers from a circumcision.

I make a really good squid marinar... yummy. Octopus I like raw.

Lovely, if cooked right (either for a short time on high heat, or for a long time on low heat)
Horrible & chewy, if cooked wrong (anything in between the two above)
Best I ever had were marinated WHOLE baby squid, served cold, at a top class chinese restaurant in London.

Octopus, I have tried...and it was pretty good. Not something I would want to eat everyday, but I could eat it occasionally.

I love both, especially squid steaks. There's this place by me that makes the best squid steaks ever!

Never had octopuss, but would try it if I had the chance. I love squid! although the first time I tried it, my hubby wouldn't tell me what it was cuz he was afraid i'd scream...*lol* fried calamari (squid) is to die for! hmph, wish I had some now come to think of it...

Octopus tastes like chicken and it doesn't squirt when you bite it. I'll go with octopus. Edit. Ok, I'm b.s.ing tonight. Never tasted either one.
