with hillary, obama, edwards all saying they can't promise to remove troops in the next FIVE and a half years and all the republicans except ron paul being pro war, also.

ron paul has 47,000 volunteers. the most ever for a presidential candidate.
ron paul has 50% of ALL military campaign contributions.
ron paul has earned over 1,000,000 in the last 6 days from donations to close out the 3rd quarter.

if you are anti war, you need to look at ron paul.
support our military by getting them out of this unwinnable religious war.

with 70% of the country against the war, how can we not have an anti war candidate. it all sounds staged to me. you would think that at least one of the democrat frontrunners would at least lie and say they would pull troops out. its all a scam and the dems and republicans are in it together. as long as the war on terror continues, oil prices will stay high. after an attack on iran, oil prices will triple because the straits of hormuz is where 80% of the worlds oil travels through. a narrow strip in the persian gulf that iran controls. the whole war on terror was designed to push the prices of oil up and destroy the middle class in america. since clinton's free trade agreements, american wages have risen 1.5% total since the early 90s. its fits their agenda perfectly.

i thought it was obvious the reason ron paul isn't doing as well in the polls is the media censorship on him. every one of the numers i posted is accurate. look it up. call me out on it if its not accurate. and it is a record. the media censorship is pushing ron paul supporters to volunteer is my opinion.

If Americans had any sense, they would vote for Kucinich or Ron Paul. But let's be sensible. Both are not television material. Both are little men who bring out ridicule and laughter in this world of Image Worship and Star Quality.

I have read many articles written by Kucinich and they have thrilled me with their intensity and common sense. I have listened to Ron Paul and he hits it right on the button. They both have courage and understanding that the other candidates lack.

Currently, anyone who feels strongly about any issue, anyone vehemently disliking this war and Bush policies, is labeled a wild-eyed, foam-mouthed radical. Progressives are numerous, but even the party officials take a moderate stand, so fearful are they of appearing weak. The "Cut and Run" accusations used by the "Stay and Kill" crowd really took hold.

I haven't made up my mind as yet about just where to cast my vote. I lean toward the two I mentioned, have briefly considered Edwards, have staunchly defended Hillary....but it's the war that is the issue I care about. At the end of the game, I will vote for that candidate courageous enough to say "Enough!" But I don't know how many other Americans will feel the same.

Paul and Gravel are the favored
non-forgien interventionists.

Notice I didn't say Anti-war.

But many feel that the US must continue to be at war,
in order to support it's domestic economy.

Others want to continue to punish the Iraqi
for what they feel is their culpability in 9-11,
and the continued threat. Some feel that
pre-emptive aggression directed anywhere and
everywhere they perceive a threat is the answer
to keeping myriad sworn enemies (real or imagined ?)
at bay, and from
bringing terrorism to US shores.

Still others consider the oil reserves of the middle east to be an absolutely vital US interest, and are willing to bare any cost to prevent those resources from going to the Chinese or other potential rivals.

One things clear, at this stage, that is the majority of Americans support this war, and want it to continue, indefinitely.

There can be no other logical explanation for it's
continuance.

Note, unlike others on this thread,
I do not call anyone names, or berate their opinions.

I call it honestly the way I see it, and try to explain it.

I didn't say I like it either, any of it.

LuvUall, Ba-bye.

Why does Ron Paul poll so poorly if he is breaking these records and has this kind of support?

I'll bet that's hype, and that He's not breaking records, he's a dark horse, and since most Americans apparently support the war and want it to continue, unfortunately he's going nowhere.

How is it that Americans claim, until everyones ready to throw up, about how great and responsive thier unique world beating democracy is, and yet, time and time again, and well within living memory your forced into wars against popular will and support ?.

Either said American democracy is bullshit, or you love war.

There's no third option as far as I can see.

Interesting, let's say that war is the enemy of all mankind,
and every living thing, and that anyone who advocates war and its perpetuation is also the enemy, where does that leave you ?

Or is war a good thing ? Really ?

Sorry no sale. And if you do go to war, it's a paramount responsibility to win and end it as quickly as possible, and don't stand around making money, and turning the whole exersize into a sustainable buisiness venture.

That is a CRIME against humanity as surely as anything the Nazis pulled off.

Just wars eh, Americans still clinging to their once upon a time or two, we were the "good guys"
image of WW-1 &2 .

That was then, a long time ago, sure America helped the world rid of a monsterous evil, but it also HELPED itself to decades of record advantage and prosperity, and that's fine, but just come clean on that fact.

This is now, it's wearing thin, and the US is becoming increasingly isolated on the world stage.

With Asia and Europe primed to surpass the US in economics, prosperity, world influence, respect,
and even combined military, America's daze as
the self proclaimed at nauseum, "world COP and socalled
super power maybe numbered.

The US could emerge from this fiasco in Afgan, Iraq, Iran and probably Pakistan & Syria, tied with the Russians in 4th or 5th place on the wolrd stage. In consideration of the total effect of economics, military, respect and alliances, etc.

Wich BTW is exactly what Bin Laden saw done to the Soviets, and planned all along for the US of A.

And the USA under the Great Dubya, fell for it Hook line and sinker.

Smart ?
Go in number one, come out 4th.
Get used to that, # 4.
That's 4th rate.
4th place finish.
4th rate prestige and influence.

Congradulations.

Obama and Paul.
If Obama wins the democrat nomination I will vote for Obama.
If Paul wins the nomination, and Hillary wins the Democrat nomination, I will vote Paul.
If anyone but Paul wins the Republican nomination, I will vote Democrat.
If Paul and Obama win the primaries, I'll have to think about it for a while.
If neither one wins the primaries, I guess I'll have to write one in.

Personally, I'd like to see them both running on the same ticket for the executive offices, one as Pres and the other Vice.

But then again, I'm not "anti-war", just "anti-war in the wrong place".
