they look pretty solid, however they have played some pretty crappy teams...like the rams who are 0-4 now

Mr. Math, perhaps you weren't watching last weeks sunday night football game and forgot who the Cowboys played, the NFC champs from last year who had (possibly still have) a killer defense. Perhaps you didn't watch the game last week, but the Bears defense was around for 2 1/2 quarters and were keeping the Cowboys offense at bay from not scoring too many points. Then ofcourse the Cowboys took off and had their way.
But the same thing can be said for the Patriots as well. Other than the Chargers, who are doing just as bad as the Bears are and were favored to be really good this year, the Patriots haven't played anybody either.
As for why the Cowboys are doing good, I'd say their offensive coordinator Jason Garret is the reason. The man knows his stuff and is letting the Cowboys put a bunch of points on the board.
Another reason was of Bill Parcells and his coaching and improving the Cowboys team from it's three years of being 5-11, to going to the playoffs twice in his four year stint with the Cowboys. That and Parcells getting players who could do the job with the help ofJerry Jone's checkbook of course.
All I can say is I'm interested in the Patriots/Cowboys game in two weeks.

They are playing strong on both sides of the ball. Granted, they beat some teams that are struggling, but they still look pretty good. Do I think they are better than the Colts or the Patriots? No. The Colts have played some tough teams, while the Patriots are dominating. The Cowboys are clearly the class of the NFC though.

Tony Romo is the real deal.
The Defense is getting healthy. (Newman & Ellis both played today)
T.O. is acting like a team player while they are winning.
Jason Witten is the new Novacek
And Most Importantly........ The coaching staff is so much better this year. I'm not knocking Parcells, but a team w/the kind of weapons on Offense that Dallas has needs to be playing loose, not walking on eggshells afraid to make one mistake & get benched or cut. And Jason Garrett is a football genius to-be. He is probaly a bigger reason for their start then Wade Phillips is. If Jerry Jones is smart, Garrett will be the next head coach.
And for the record, They are the best team in the NFC right now, I'm a Cowboys fan & I'm not ready to call them better then Pats or the Colts yet. Not until the defense plays better.

Ummm, sorry man, but they haven't beaten a single team with a winning record to date this season. If you think they're the best, your in for a heart break at the end of the season.

Good question. Bill Parcells built that team.
Secondly, they beat bunch of losers: Rams, Dolphins, Bears, and Giants.
In fact, they are pretenders.
Watch out! The Patriots are coming to Dallas in 2 weeks.
Prepare for Armageddon! Pats 85-0!

Dallas has so many different weapons , Tony Romo can either throw it or run it, the defense is good and we will soon have Tank Johnson and Terry Glenn with the team soon.
