From everything I have heard about it, it sounds like a fast food restaurant to me. There is not one where I live so I do not know for sure.

Chipotle is a fast-casual restaurant, as opposed to something such as Taco Bell, which is quick-service.

in a sense chipoltes is fast food because the food is made quickly. you could eat there just like you would at KFC or Burger King or take it home. the best part about the place is no one serves you drinks or your food so you dont have to leave a tip. but it is not like a fast food resturant in that it has no drive thru. factoid: chipoltes is owned by mcdonalds

i would say yes. you order at a counter, there are no waitresses. you dont have to get a beeper for when your food is ready (like at zaxby's) you bus your own table but unlike most other fast food restaurants, its actually really delicious

Easiest way to tell if it is a fast food place or not is do you leave a tip? You do not tip there hence it is fast food.

you go up and order and they make it as you order and then you take it and sit down. so yes/no...its like subway but with burritos :D v. yummy!!
