of course, you would understand this....I am Gemini....so I am both....and as in a Gestalt portrait...I am every part of the picture and every part is me...the Wheel of Fortune turns and I change, reflecting the ripples, surfacing again and again...a stone that shatters the reflection, becoming the reflection....a mirror of the universal circle......aaaahhhooommm.......

My reflection is both the ripples and the stone. This is because I am the source of the effects that come around the pond (I am the rock of the ripples), yet the effects and ripples reflect on who I am.

The STONE (my mind), which is threw and caused RIPPLES to spread across the lake/sea/water make REFLECTION on the SURFACE (universe or parallel worlds), but the water (the whole of the minds within the universe) is the main cause for the REFLECTION and the RIPPLES TOO!
To answer, my reflections (thoughts) could make ripples (ripples effects) on the other minds. In parallel, the stone, which is my mind/my thoughts/ my reflection (the 'THAT' that I am), could make some impacts (ripples) on the others 'minds'.

When I was first dating my husband, he tried to show me how to throw stones across the water, and his stones would skip several times across the surface of the water, making beautiful ripples. I could never get the hang of it. I could never make the ripples on the surface so I couldn't be the reflection of the ripples, nor, [therefore] could I be the stone that didn't make them. So I am neither.

my reflection is my own. the pond is my mind. somewhere in life, ripples are made, thoughts, dreams, ideas. The stones are the big mistakes, the great accomplishments that make more dreams, ideas, or thoughts come to mind.

.Very interesting. What is your meaning of Reflection? Is it, to bend or cast back? to give back a likeness or image as a mirror does... to cast, reproach or blame? What about the meaning of ripples by definition? One might see it as water on a surface, and become strayed...or is he? One might see it as the ruffling of some other surface...such as the skin of a person or could it be feathers from a bird? One thing for sure...the rock is the contact cause, or is it? Did someone throw the Rock? Or did the water contact the rock first? Was it lying above the surface of the water, in turn making ripples in the river? So, I was quite interested in the true meaning of the word "ripple". Definition from: Merriam-Webster dictionary 1: to become lightly RUFFLED on the surface 2: to make a sound like that of rippling water. Then I look the meaning of "ruffled" 1: to roughen the surface of 2: irritate, vex 3: to erect (as hair or feathers) 3: ... 4: ... 5: ... It seems to me ...This philosophy is quite broad as one could have thrown the rock....but where? In the water, at the person or in the birds feather...Was the rock already lying above the rivers water surface, to create the ripples...Is someone throwing the rock at anther to create the roughen surface on the skin....
Well, all this above, said be and done proportional in respect of propriety...it would be impossible for me to give you none the less, but merely go back and trace the origins of all the above...One might suggest his/her reflection is near at hand of the one who created the rock, water or being of life.

Your question refers to an old indian theory (satkaryavada).. Just to make it easier, the question posed is -
"is the effect contained in the cause"?
For instance, do you believe the mango tree is 'in' the seed..
The fire 'in' the match?.. I'm afraid I won't be able to give you a final answer on this.. Because both sides of this theory are quite complicated..
I think the best way to tread on this issue, is the safe middle path.. With the distinction between necessary and sufficient conditions..
For instance, instead of saying - that the fire in contained in the match - or denying the very causal link between the two altogether - you say that, alright,
in order for the fire to be lit - the match is a Necessary condition, so is Oxygen etc etc - and the sufficient conditions include - say dry weather.. no wind.. surface of the matchbox etc.

>>toast<< Your good health, sir..... as with the 'butterfly effect', each ripple affects the next and so on. When these ripples meet the shore, they turn on themselves and create a bigger ripple which heads out as a wave..... it reaches the half way point and starts it's journey to the opposite shore.....the constant circle, affecting all in it's path! The cosmic effect can only be guessed at.........
