Ask them a random question and ask the same question the next day. Throw it in while having a conversation, just don't blatantly ask out of the blue, as they'll probably remember the next day. If your good enough, and they tell the truth, do the same thing about what "truth" you're trying to find, reminding yourself their subconscious never lies. Good luck!

-It may be just a myth, but my math teacher told me that when someone lied, in habit, they look downward and to the left. I don't know why this occurs, but maybe just for fun you should do some experiments to see if this is true. It sounds kinda outlandish, but I can see how there's some truth in there.

-And the reason they will not look you in the eyes (unless they are experts) is because they feel (whether they are aware or not) that their eyes are a portal into their thoughts, and they want to hide the truth at all costs.... they can't afford you reading their mind. XD

-Also truth serum may work, but it's not a guarantee, just like alchohol. It may loosen someone up, and rid them of their inhibitions, but it does not promise a definite, truthful answer.

You can't. No more can you find out what really lies behind the questions that some people ask here ~ where they are hiding behind a camouflage of apparent justifications which, in the end, do not ring right.

Some of the questioners hide behind having a number of user names and repeatedly ask the same questions ~ and are unlikely to admit this or to reveal the rationale for their behaviour (which makes me really curious).

Additionally, the Truth is invariably a subjective.

You can't get the truth from everyone.

In general most people find someone they can trust and usually cares about you and that someone most likely will tell you the truth.

Outside of a relationship though, like co-workers etc...than forget it people will tell self-serving truths just to survive, but not all people are alike you just have to use your intuition on that.

Most people don't tell you the truth.

Even the someone tells you the "Truth". It is only as they see and understand it. It may not be the "truth" as others see it. In other words they may not be lying, but may still not be telling you "The Truth".

I don't think you can, not at the drop of a hat anyway.

Big truths are often obvious, whilst little ones come out over time, if ever at all.

Learn your subject, befriend your enemies, and trust your instincts.

Trust your instincts.

DNA might help though.

It's almost impossible. In the end what they tell you will always be based upon what they want you to hear or what they think you want to hear to stop you asking.

The only way is by asking, but that's not a guarantee that they will give it to you. There is no way to guarantee that, even with drugs.

If someone is lying, they will not look you in the eyes, and will also look down and to the right.
