So many reasons: stress, health issues, diabetes, lack of sleep, high blood pressure, unhealthy diet, and hormones. I guess we can try to lower our stress by yoga, listening to soothing music, and sleeping enough. Having a good diet low in refined sugar is good too. And as for the hormones, maybe take hormone therapy (but that would have it's own side effects). I guess headaches are something we just have to learn to deal with when we live in such a stressful, over indulgent society.

1. When is the last time you had a headache? Couple of years (regular one) 2. What did you take for your headache? Advil 3. When is the last time you had a hangover headache? About a week ago 4. What worked for this headache? Time 5. What doesn't work at all for your headaches? Banging my head against a wall 6. Do you get dull headaches or throbbing headaches? I usually do not ever get headaches. When I do (regular ones) they are usually dull. A hot bath or real good massage works wonders. A chiropractor may help too to get you back in working order!

Drink plenty of water. Eat well.
Most headaches are from dehydration, and from not eating when you should and WHAT you should.
Many people suffer from stress too, and drinking actually dehydrates, and if you're a wine drinker, the sugar in wine can give you headaches too.
You need to get protein into you first thing in the morning too, it's what your brain needs to function, and of course plenty of REST and exercise helps release feel good chemicals from your brain which reduce headaches too.
Tension can pinch nerves which shoot up the back of your neck and cause tension headaches too, so a good massage helps!

I have a wonderful way to reduce or eliminate them. It involves a daily ritual with baby oil, massages, and both parties must be completely naked, not even a glove is allowed. Two to 4 times daily to start.
