I'm a UK fan and love the ranking but it is not deserved yet. The schedule gets really difficult beginning Thursday night with South Carolina, then Florida and LSU. I'm not sure the most optimistic Cat fan really believes UK can take all 3 of those games. And of course Georgia in Athens and Tennessee in Lexington are both tough games left on the schedule. The SEC is the best league top to bottom this year as most years and the path for UK is very, very tough. I thought last week's ranking at 14 was about right and still do. UK looks like a very solid team this year that can run and pass but they have not beaten a team with a quality defense yet and until they do that they will have a lot of skeptics out there. Spurrier has handled Kentucky with 14 wins in 14 games against UK during his career. I think after Thursday night his record against UK will be 14-1. South Carolina is a very good team however and a win here will be a major step forward for the UK program under Rich Brooks. I expect a very close game that could be decided by turnovers and really could go either way. Go Big Blue!!!

They are okay, but Kentucky fans better enjoy being ranked for now cause when they play LSU and Florida it is going to be over. They are a decent team probably another cinderella team like boise state last year. They got a QB that could win the heiman (andre woodson). They are decent, but they have had an easy schedule so far. Louisville is good, but their defense is horrible! If Syracuse can beat them and Middle Tennessee gets close is the Kentucky win isn't as impressive.

I believe rebshel1956. Kentucky is a sturdy team yet won't be able to teach their skill using fact the SEC is taken into consideration one of the toughest conferences in D-I FBS. Uh, BulldogBlitz you do comprehend that the MEAC is a convention with in simple terms traditionally black faculties and that Kentucky has a kickass basketball team who's aggressive year in and year out top?

Kentucky plays Georgia "between the hedges" in Athens. Georgia has gotten better since the loss to that Cock Spurrier. UK beats Georgia maybe once evry 20 years. The Dawgs have revenge on their mind and will beat Kentucky, as wil Florida and LSU. Go Dawgs!!!!

No they are not that good at all. NCAA is a bit weak. Colleges are getting less athletic scholarships. Kind of evens the playing ground. I mean really, Rutgers, West Virginia in the top 10????
What eva!
