No, religion has been more of a problem than anything. Look at the way things are now. You can't listen to rock music and you can't watch certain TV shows 'cause the Christian Consevatives don't like it. I say screw them, this is supposed to be a free society!

McCain, as usual, is two steps behind. The days of a candidate being believed just because he claims to be a christian are over. Bush put an end to that myth.

Eh, not really. In fact, some of these people who call themselves Christians wouldn't be so great. As long as s/he is a good person and has good ideas, who cares? I'm Republican and I'd vote for Joe Lieberman in a heartbeat.

I don't care what religion the president has, I just want that person to do a good job, represent almost all the people (it's imposible to represent ALL), and NOT IMPOSE THEIR RELIGION ON US.

I am a Christian, and I still wouldn't want the president imposing their religion on people. God gave us freedom of choice. We should allow the same thing...

I wouldn't mind having another Christian in office but I won't base my vote on it.

No such thing as secularism. This country has an official religion (people just don't know that) and it's not Christianity.

Personally, I prefer a Christian or Jewish president. No offense against Muslims, but I'm not a fan of sharia law.

I prefer an atheist one, that respects religious beliefs.
