I know you cannot estimate when you will go into labour going by how dilated you are, BUT would you be likely to go into labour soon if you are dilating at a reasonable speed. 2 weeks ago my cervix was closed and now it is about 4cm dilated. I am 35 weeks pregnant and was in hospital 2 weeks ago with early contractions that they stopped. This is my 3rd child.

They gave me steriod shots and said that as soon as I got to 34 weeks they would let me go so I am not on any medications.

You're right, there's no way to tell for sure, but since you are at 4 cm the chances are very good you'll be going into real labor soon.

Congratulations!

Not for me. I went to pee (which ended up being my water breaking while I wager). And immediatley after I urinated I bought contractions. They have been at five min aside in 30min. I used to be absolutely dialated and opening to push in three hours, ended up having a c-segment regardless that. Everyone is distinctive, a few have the plug pop out and a few (like myself) don't and a few have lengthy drawn out exertions whilst others simply swiftly occur.

If you're 4cm, I would say you are definitely more likely to go into labor at any time, but still, you could go full term. There truly is no way to estimate.

you could, but are you still taking any kind of meds that are stopping your contractions? I know they probably wouldnt want you to go into labor until you are at least 36 weeks.

Good luck!

if you are 4 cm now, you will most likely deliver before your due date
