I was at a fashion show for the first time the other night...the Macy's Passport show in Santa Monica. Anyway, it was the first time I had seen actual models in real life..I've seen them in magazines forever, but I had never seen them in person before. I was struck by just how perfect a lot of them were in real life...no airbrushing or altared pics...I had the chance to see them in person, and they were all so beautiful. They would all look perfect in any kind of clothing you put on them...tall, slender (and muscular in the right proportions for the men)..their bodies were just perfectly proportioned, they had great skin, and their faces were gorgeous. Whenever they walked by before the show, all the volunteers just stared at them in awe. I imagine it must be impossible for most of these models to not be conceited and arrogant...it just doesn't seem fair that so few people are so attractive. What do you think of models? Would you be full of yourself if you looked like them?

What do i think of models? Most of them are beautiful,.. especially with the added cosmetics!Perfect physical features,.. no such thing really. Take off the make up,.. Have you ever had a complete makeover,.. or a glamour shot photo taken? Enough of that and we'd all be models!
Now,.. their figures?.. That is fair! Anyone that has to follow the eating habits and excercise as they do,.. that person deserves a good body! I myself find it very hard!
If i ever personally lookedlike them,.. I pray that I would NOT be full of myself,.. because I know what it's like to struggle with weight!

Who determines what perfect is? I have seen models who are rather homely.I think everyone is beautiful just in different ways than others. I have known some very beautiful women who act very ugly. I am good looking, not a model but I am happy with me. Just as you should be.

My girlfriends are engineers, some are doctors, and they are beautiful and smart. I have a masters degree and long hair and a slim body and I try to take care of myself like models do. I also dress fashionably and exercise. I guess what I'm trying to say is that you can be smart and beautiful too, it just takes a little more effort.
You don't have to be labeled a geek to be smart. I mean, I've seen a lot of bodybuilders who are downright ugly but they've got great bods. Likewise, I've seen a lot of engineers and scientists who are handsome and athletic. I guess you have to find a middle ground and strike a balance between looks and brains. To me, people who are healthy and fit emit a certain aura, a glow that makes them beautiful. Modeling is a tough field, they say your career is over by your late 20's?

Well it's not unfair that they are "perfectly beautiful" or whatever. But they really do have to try hard to look that way. They have to take care of their skin and work out and eat right and stuff.
But they are probably all douche bags to everyone except other models.
There's much more important things in life than beauty. That's all I'm saying.

They are in the minority, beautiful face doesn't mean beautiful person. these models are just a trend, once it was size 16 women like Marilyn Monroe who were considered desirable, or flat chested no *** twiggy's in the 60's. Consider how they torture themselves to maintain these so-called perfect figures? Appreciate how many girls torture themselves to be just like them. Most models don't have the brains to do anything else with their lives, except be a pretty face.
Their type of beauty fades, except for companies like Dove, real beauty is never portrayed in the media. I'm 5'6, with a little extra padding, imperfect skin and a crooked smile, I like so many women, don't admire them, they are simply moving manequins usually with as much brains and personality.
Women, embrace your imperfections, thats how we are made, to want to attain the impossible is just plain silly.

I do not see what you see I guess. Sure some people are really good looking, but I do not necessarily think that means anything except that people like you will kiss their butt and all. A lot of people in the world are idol worshipers of vanity, well this is a sin and sin will lead you to the pit.

True beauty is not outer beauty, but inner beauty.
I think that most female models are not the ideal because most women cannot attain that look.

Are you aware that they wear makeup? For all you know they could look like monsters when they take it off. Don't generalize.

UMM...NO. they have no breast or butt. Well except for Tyra Banks and she's not a model anymore.
I think anyone that has no rolls of fat or a pop belly with boobs and a big butt has a nice figure to me.( I'm not gay it's just those are better features)
