A student that went to this school near mine passed away. He was in grade 8, I didn't say one word to this person but I feel depressed and I feel like I know him somehow.
I don't have a best friend or a friend I can express my feelings to at all. You see, he was supposed to go the same high school as me and I always wonder if he could be my best friend, my good friend. His best friend is currently in my French class and I want to get to know him. Me and him share the same dream..to be a professional basketball player.
Am I being stupid? Should I be even thinking that he could've been my best friend? What should I do?

Nah, you're not being stupid, you're being human. Everymans death takes a little bit out of all of us. Take the time to read John Donne's "No Man is an Island."
The feelings that you have are o.k. to have. They are normal. But you should talk to some other adult about how you feel, and how to deal with your feelings.

Well just remember that things happen for a reason..no matter what. Never blame yourself for anything. My dearest Best friend died in a plane crash, he was a pilot. He wasnt supposed to fly that day, we were supposed to meet. He died this year, just remember that sometimes you dont need words to express yourself, even if it was just a glance at someone..dont worry, u will be fine. Time heals everything. All you need to do is get yourself busy with friends and family, volunteer..talk to someone..

No you arenot stupid You have pain because he was already your best friend in your mind and your heart Talk to the couseler of your school Take care of yourself because you sound little bit depressed You will have anew friend soon Good Luck

maybe the boy who was in grade 8 sent u his best friend to be your bestfriend?
who knows
just get closer to his best friend and maybe everything will change and you have a best friend?

your not being stupid .. i have friends but not any close ones well anymore .. all u want is someone to talk to .. i say talk to that guys best friend hes in a lot of pain and needs someone to talk to anyeways .. what do u have to loose ..
