Absolutely YES! In fact, I can show you an example of a player who played ~163~ games in 1978, a year with a BOS-NYY one-game playoff. Boston's Jim Rice played all 163 games:

It's an extension of the regular season.

1 game tie-breaker games DO count towards the regular season stats. Technically they aren't the playoffs, they are an extension of the regular season. 162 games is not set in stone. While the 1 game tie-breakers are rare, it is not uncommon for rained-out games not involving any playoff scenerios to never be made up leaving some teams w/less then 162 regular season games.
The rest of the playoffs are a completely different season & do not count towrds regular season stats.

guess it relies upon on the prism one looks by; I observed better of a bumbling Key Stone Cop overall performance of the Washington Nationals than I did of the Cincinnati Reds "large" overall performance. If i grew to strengthen into arranged on the Reds or a fan on the ballpark i could have enjoyed it and that i could have stayed on the park till finally the suited of the sport. The ninety 3 3 hundred and sixty 5 days old WW II Veteran I watched the sport with begged me to regulate the sport jointly because it grew to strengthen into 8-0; i ultimately did jointly because it grew to strengthen into 10-0. on the instantaneous is a clean interest and that i however say the Nationals take this series 2-a million.

To echo most everyone else, yes they do count. This gives Peavy a chance to become the NL's only 20 game winner this year.
