Hi there, if you meant joining a tour group as opposed to going on a free and easy, I have to say, generally:

1) The Pros of joining a tour group allows you to just sit back and enjoy the country you are visiting (as everything from food and accomodation to the itenairy is already catered for)
The Cons for joining a tour group would be that you will fee rushed and pressured, as the tour guide has to ensure that he or she keeps to a strict time table. (Read: Not much time for shopping :P)

2) Free and easy allows for absolute freedom! Pros are pretty obvious... You get to spend as much time as you like at any particular place of intrest; and you can shop till your heart's desire (if you are into shopping).
Cons of this would be that you have to do your homework.

Much more fun if going as a couple or a small group. Travelling alone usually results in a 'single traveller' surcharge for hotels and tours. I suggest you contact a travel agency and see what ideas they can come up with. You could check out this Yahoo page ... http://search.yahoo.com/search?p=travelling+single&ei=utf-8&fr=b2ie7.

Have a great trip wherever you go!!

It's much more fun if you have your friends with you. But, if you want some time for yourself and need to do a little thinking, well, by all means, go.

I'm not tripping tonight :D

I have traveled alone, and it's been all good.
