LOL!! All I know is my daddy knows her folks and they were always "uppity" type people, my dad said even in school the women in their family straightened their hair and put weave in it (when weave was a rarity) instead of having an Afro like most people in the 70's.
I just think Beyonce wants to be white, but I could care less, I'm just tired of people sticking her in our face like she can sing. Besides Alisha Keys blows her way out of the water, when it comes to talent in singing and has the most beautiful voice.
If it weren't for her daddy and Jay-z Beyonce would be nothing cause she has no talent.

Well seeing as this is coming from Beyonce, I think it just came out the wrong way. She was doing an interview for a Latin station, so I think she was just kissing some major @ss, trying to sell records.
But anyway it's really not a big deal because being a Latina is not a race, it's an ethnicity. There are Black Latinas but I doubt Beyonce knows that.

It is a marketing tool to get the Latin community to buy her music. What she should have said is that she appreciates the Latin culture but now she has to put her foot in her mouth again. Beyonce needs to just be herself, be proud of her own culture and stop trying to manipulate the public into buying her music. B'Day has been out for over a year now. Either people are going to buy it or not. You can't force it and she is just constantly being shoved down our throats. Her career is going to suffer from over exposure and over kill. The chick needs to stop trying to be the number one artist, stop chasing after Oscar awards that she knows she doesn't deserve and get an education and speech classes.

I really just think she was schmoozing aka a** kissing the Latinos & the cmt came out wrong. If the Latino community embraces her, that means more money for her. She basically said what she had to say to get that Latino money.
It's all politics. Just like George Bush hugging black kids during hurricane Katrina.

Beyonce doesn't seem to have much media training. That comment was worded completely wrong. There is nothing wrong with brown nosing but when you're a role model and have many people aspiring to be you, comments like THAT are risky. Bey is entitled to her own opinion yes! Its was a dumb comment and cannot be excused. MAybe she is not truly happy with herself. If so I hope Bey finds peace within herself. Now about MJ, we haven't heard him say anything about wanting to be another race/culture. He just changed his appearance.

People are taking this out of context. She probably didn't even mean anything by it. She might have said that just to make latina.com feel good. People say all types of ****, they don't mean. I doubt that woman wishes she was anybody else. She's beautiful, rich and famous.

i think she meant that the culture is pretty and trying to sell more cds she wasnt like jessica dont call me latina alba
who said I've got cousins galore. Mexicans just spread all their seeds. And the women just pop them out. My grandfather was the only Mexican at his college, the only Hispanic person at work and the only one at the all-white country club. He tried to forget his Mexican roots, because he never wanted his kids to be made to feel different in America. He and my grandmother didn't speak Spanish to their children. Now, as a third-generation American, I feel as if I have finally cut loose. My whole life, when I was growing up, not one race has ever accepted me, ... So I never felt connected or attached to any race specifically. I had a very American upbringing, I feel American, and I don't speak Spanish. So, to say that I'm a Latin actress, OK, but it's not fitting; it would be insincere. My grandfather was the only one in our family to go to college. He made a choice not to speak Spanish in the house. He didn't want his kids to be different. [Before] I always felt like such an outcast and now I feel like people are more diverse ethnically. I was always [self-conscious] of my puffy lips and darker skin when I was a kid, because I felt like I didn't fit in. And now its mainstream, and color isn't as big of a deal and if anything its better.[

Does Beyonce hate being black that much? She and Tiger Woods should be friends now that they have something in common.
