I forgot to mention where I've been hearing this song. It is on recent commerials for Nip Tuck. Bot I did find the answer: Big Giant. Check it out.

You seem to have answered your own question but the singer of "Wicked Game" (1990) IS Chris Isaak. Not much more to say, except the video is one of the best ever and the song is also featured in the Nicholas Cage movie "Wild at Heart."

I know that HIM (His Infernal Majesty) has a version of it. Perhaps that's the one you've been hearing.
