I live alone..at times its the best thing ever! I mean, you dont get bothered, u dont bother ppl..but sometimes, living alone in a 3 Bedroom Apartment would get lonely. I leave home for work pretty early in the morning, and reach home considerably late. Sometimes, a place where u can get peace and quiet is what u need when u get home from a hellish day at the office, but thing is, u still need ppl to talk to.Being lonely, sucks..but having a special place for yourself is also kinda nice.Sometimes relatives come to visit, friends spend the night, so im no hermit! I just enjoy my privacy.
So..its a yes for me! :)

I love living alone. Well, I do have a 13 year old female kitty.
I like not having to clean up after others (except the litter box and furballs), not having my stuff vanish from the fridge with no repleacement, knowing when I come home the place will be exactly as I left it. Plus there's the tranquility, which is immeasurable.
I greatly enjoy solitude. I like being sociable, on occasion, but feel no need to have a living companion. Loneliness and boredom are not in my working vocuabulary. Too much to do already to have to entertain someone else.

Yes, very much, since I recognize that I am very difficult to live with.
I keep odd hours. My whole condo is a studio. I keep nothing as a routine : I have my dinner at whatever hours I choose. I am not one who'll easily make compromises. I sleep in different beds most of the time, through out the house. I suppose, I've decide, perhaps prematurely in my mind that I enjoy the non-judgmental way I offer myself, living this way or another, without being apprehensive about how another person would perhaps prefer me to be.
I love silence.
I enjoy having my way, without conflicts with another.
I used to not be this way about some five years ago - but now I see the freedom living alone allows one. And I've come to prefer it!

This Empty-Nesting Single Retiree was a Long Term Single (yes, LIKED living alone), survivor of a Short Disaster of a Marriage (to an abusive, violent sociopath -- HATED living with him), was a Long Term Single Parent (so not really alone .. had the children with me full time -- he was convicted of abuse), and now ... FINALLY ...
As an Empty-Nesting Single Retiree .. YES, PEACE and QUIET are QUITE NICE ... but ...
I could (if the 'right' person came around) enjoy living with someone too ... as long as they are willing to be a TRUE partner and not someone who abuses me or takes advantage of my generosity/good nature.

I'm only living alone every other weekend and I enjoy every minute of it. It gives me four days a month all to myself. But if I had to do it everyday, I'm not sure. I know someone who does and hates it so much they are never home.

During the times that was my circumstance, I enjoyed it.
But I enjoy being with the wife more now.
