I took a long nap and when I woke up, I suddenly have a big, red scratch on my right thigh and a few angry-looking ones on my left arm! What's up with that?!

Anyone with similar experiences?

Like some of you, I have totally short nails (because I'm a serial nail biter :p). It's impossible for me to scratch myself!

Wow, this has been happening to me for years (at any given moment, I have 5 scars on my leg....) and my mom said I've been doing that to myself sine I was very little. But I've also began to cut my nails (or i won't hurt myself) but the scratches are still there.... it's been YEARS. I also have bruises, but that's just cause I'm really clumsy and bang into the wall all the time, but I can't explain the scratches, it creeps me out. Right now.... I have one cut on my thigh from last night that looks it's from a razor blade... that's the creepy part.

I am more likely to wake to an arm still asleep, back pain, or a charliehorse, caus i roll around into weird positions at night.
I also have arthritis, and it is worse in the mornings. Probobly you are doing this to your self as you sleep, even realy short nails can do that i think, if you press hard enough, and after all, you not concious.

Yes, to me too actually. I've woken up with scratches, too on my arms. I don't have nails, so it can't be me unconsciously scratching myself at night. I've always wondered as some other poster mentioned if it could be paranormal activity. I think this is where surveillance cameras come in handy.

It happens to me, too! Both scratches and bruises! I don't remember bumping into anything during the day or getting injured, and I don't have a cat that would scratch me or something. I wonder what causes it. Maybe something sharp or pointy in the bed?

Well, they say you roll over across your bed but I don't know...I have had some similar experiences, sometimes small scratches and some other times deeper scratches.

yea, it's weird. One of my relatives in Dominican Republic did something bad (I don't remember what) and he woke up with a huge scratch on his back. He claims it was a demon . Scary!! =[

I've awakened with weird bruises. (Once, I had bruises around my ankle which resembled a ligature marking.)

Could it be some sort of paranormal activity?????
