34 mb is almost nothing, my desktop computer has almost 1000 times as much (3.2 gigs), and even laptops should have a good 1-3 gigs if they run vista. for all the tech info go to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RAM, but the sum of it is:

Random access memory (usually known by its acronym, RAM) is a type of data storage used in computers. It takes the form of integrated circuits that allow the stored data to be accessed in any order — that is, at random and without the physical movement of the storage medium or a physical reading head. RAM is a volatile memory as the information or instructions stored in it will be lost if the power is switched off.

The word "random" refers to the fact that any piece of data can be returned in a constant time, regardless of its physical location and whether or not it is related to the previous piece of data.

No, its too little.

My old computer was a 6year old computer with about 32 MB of RAM. IT was slow. It ran Windows 95.

My new Computer runs Windows Vista. They recommend 1 MB or more. I have 3MB and it runs well.

Try Wikipedia for answers. That is very little RAM. I have 1 GB of RAM in this laptop and 2GB of RAM in our other laptop. Our desktop server also has 2GB of RAM.

That amount of RAM is enough for word processing. If you want to play 3D Games, you need more RAM.
