As far as I know, there is no way to duplicate accessories (including Ribbons)---you can only duplicate usable items.

This is directly from Snap's FFVII Secrets FAQ from GameFAQs (see my source for a link):

"To get more than one Ribbon you need to Morph a little guy called Master Tornberry (a little guy with
a star above his head). He is found in the Norhern Creater. Because Demi3 does not work on him you should
use 4X Cut once with Cloud and then Morph him (you probably need to try twice)."

The best way to win at the Gold Saucer is to breed an S quality chocobo (gold chocobos are some of the best). Also in my source is a Chocobo Raising GameFAQ by Ninja. Although the FAQ was written for the PC version of FFVII, it still applies to the PSOne version.

Ribbon :
Ribbon able to get by Morph Master Thornberry in the Northern Crater, his shape is like a turtle.... right in the place that Mega All Materia located... Ribbon also able to get in the treasure chest in the Ancient Temple when we separated from Aerith.

Increase Chocobo stamina while running :
Just hold R1+L1+R2+R2 when chocobo running that will slightly increase the recover of it's stamina.

Gold chocobo :
Good chocobo + great chocobo = Blue or Green
Blue + Green = Black chocobo
Black + wonderful chocobo = Gold chocobo
Also make sure you use nut and race your chocobo to high rank to increase the chance.
You not need to release chocobo after breed it, just fight 5-10 enemy outside until you can breed it again....

If possible, use Yuffie with her Conformer weapon (it's her ultimate) to morph, as it is the only weapon that does not suffer a damage penalty when morphing.
