Nicole, you cannot give Phenergan to a baby. Phenergan is a anti-nausea med, not a muscle relaxer. Never ever give any kind of medicine to a baby/child w/o consulting with your pediatrician first ok. Never. So please do not even think about this any more. Benedryl is more appropriate for plane rides. Get the proper dosage from your pediatrician/pharmacist, and also consult with your pediatrician about taking your baby on a plane ride. Even though there may be some doctors/pharmacists on this website, it's never a good idea to ask about medicine on yahoo answers. Always, always discuss medicine with your doctors/pharmacist. So from now on, please do not think that you can self medicate your baby. It's always good to ask questions when you don't know the answer, and you did the right thing by asking before you took action on your own. But next time, ask a medical professional ie: doctor/pharmacist about medications. OK? Have a safe trip.

Never give a medicine for adults to a young child. You could kill her and if something went wrong on the plane you are 35,000 feet in the air and a long time from medical help. Bring snacks, toys and drinks to keep her occupied. I hope your trip goes well, don't spoil it by doing something you could regret.

No, I would not use it for your 20 month old.
Phenergan should not be used in children younger than 2 years of age. Potentially fatal side effects (eg, difficult or slowed breathing, drowsiness leading to coma) may occur in this age group when taking Phenergan .

Please, if you are not a pharmacist or pediatrician,.......for the love of your baby don't self-medicate your child.
You have no idea of what you are setting yourself up for.......What if your child overdoses on the meds you decide to give her for your convenience?
Talk to your pediatrician about other ideas.
Also, you shouldn't be goin around gettin pregnant. Take care of the one you have first.

Phenergrin is an anti nausea medication. No I would not give it to her at all, it is a very potent medication. You need to speak with her pediatrician about the whole situation.

That would be very dangerous.
A child in our town died when her babysitter medicated her just like that to get her to sleep for a nap.
Ask your doctor for advice on this matter.

This is an ignorant question. Medicating your child for you convinence is stupid. Maybe you should take some parenting classes. If you can't handle the child you have without doping her up, you certainly shouldn't be having another.

i would def. ask her doctor. NEVER give a child anything without consulting them first. if i were in your situation i wouldn't, it might be too much for her little tummy
