I downloaded song from computer to my CD-180. It plays on music media on the computer. Why not on CD player?

It's a CD-R80. 700MB. Why wouldn't it play on my CD player? Are they different?

How did you record your song? LPCM, MP3, AAC?

Most CD players can only play uncompressed audio files.
When you burn a CD specify you want to burn an Audio CD (not a data file), and the s/w will do the appropriate conversions for you.
