Not sure but, the mint family has square stems and I round them off by chopping them up and putting them in the blender,,,then I ad some white glue, mush it around and put it in a fat straw..when it hardens, viola ! I have rounded stems !
Could try this with square roots,,maybe?

if you know how to figure a square root, carry it out a few places past the decimal and then if greater than 5 round up, less than 5 round down.
why you are averaging is beyond me. I always just use what I have.

Well, the square root of sixty-nine is eight-something, and you'll be wanting it to be round.

Usually my dentist just pulls the tooth. The root was not about to get rounded....... it was just shot. *shrugs*

You can bring it down a decimal.
Or up.
Your choice, and this speaks volumes.
