The conversion from SAE to Metric would in fact cause some economic distress, although in the long term, there would be many benifits. Education, packaging, recalibration of instruments and literature is nothing to take lightly.

This is how we like it and we have the largest economy in the world so we can have it our way.
Also the UK still uses miles and most countries still use feet in Real Estate
