Recession mean fewer jobs, lower wages, smaller manufacturing output, less spending for everything from groceries to cars to houses.

A recession helps no one, except the leaders of whichever political party is out of power at the time. They will revel in every lost job and use people's suffering to try to sway voters to vote for them.

I think its evil to try to play on people's suffering for political advantage.
