There is a complicated formula that allows for conference wins , division wins , head to head wins , points scored , and last of all a coin flip to see who goes to the playoffs.

Interesting question. It would go to tie breakers: probably down to how many points you beat other team by. or even a coin flip.

Then the league would have a lot of tiebreakers to see who makes it into the playoffs and determine who has home field advantage.
