Learning how to walk and speak I think. I don't remember much of it at all.

I had to endure a 7 1/2 hour operation with 49 staples as I had a recurrence of cancer. In Nov-Dec of 96 I was admitted to Indiana University Medical Center North 5 Unit Transplant Ward where I was to spend a total of 35 days in an isolated germ free room as I went through 2 augmous stem cell transplants and two rounds of high dose chemotherapy. I was told I had between a 40-50 % chance of survival as my cancer had metastisized to my right lung. wrapped around blood vessels in my lower abdoman and close to my left kidney. Before leaving to go to the hospital I had the elders of the church pray over me and annoint me with oil which strengthed my faith enormously. On Dec 21st I was told I was cancer free and have been feeling great ever since then. I am so thankful to God for the gift of life.

this is an easy one.... that was the year my first grandson was born and I was married to my 2nd husband, who was an alcoholic, abusive, manic-depressive jerk. After 3 years of trying to leave and being stalked, etc., the birth of that baby actually made HIM leave cuz he was too jealous to share my time with anyone else, even a child! Now, almost 12 years later, I have raised that grandson since he was 5 months old and he's a wonderful kid- my lucky star! Annd, I've been very, very single since then!
