I have 3 acres of grass to cut, and have 3 lawnmowers already selling a 12hp husky to friend. WHICH OF THESE ENGINES ARE MORE RELIABLE?

without a doubt, go for the second engine. they are the same sized deck so the larger engine will not have to work as hard to do the same amount of work. the v-twin engine will produce far more torque than the single. it may in fact be more fuel efficient than the smaller one. I think it is worth it to spend the extra $200, because the engine will not work as hard, it will last longer than the smaller engine would.

Alot has to do with how easy it is to make repairs and do other maintenance on the mower. I have over 4 acres that I mow durning the spring until the grass areas dry up and don't need to be mowed. The two mowers, 15 HP and 18.5 HP both MTD units, which have given the power and done the work needed on my hilly areas. I spent alot of time checking different makes and engine sizes, but found the best information on the Tractor Forum. There is alot of feed back from different people and what has taken place with them and their mowers.

I'll recommend a healthy, proven diet: a balanced one! If you follow the guidelines for the food pyramid and get regular exercise, you will maintain or lose weight. To gain weight you consume more calories than you burn, so logically you would need to burn more calories than you consume to lose weight. Fad diets aren't a good idea, because they only work for a short amount of time (usually you gain all the weight back that you lost anyways) and they're unhealthy for your body. The most important thing is to eat three square meals a day, and only eat healthy snacks (such as vegetables, fruits, nuts, etc... No sweets or fatty foods - they don't even taste much better than a lot of delicious and nutritious health foods), while getting regular exercise. That's the ONLY proven, healthy, safe, and effective way to lose weight and keep it off. It takes a lot of discipline though, so good luck. If you're really concerned, you can always schedule an appointment with your doctor or a dietitian to make up a healthy, effecitve diet schedule. Good luck!

You misread the 21HP motor - its a twin cylender ohv motor.
I have both single cylender and twin cylender motors- of older designs, of briggs stratton and all are pretty decent long lasting motors. Id say for the best buck - go with the higher hp motor, that way you should be able to power thru pretty much anything.

I would go for the bigger engine. It most likely has an oil filter which means it has a pressure oil system. Also the twin just runs smoother. Fuel comsumption is near the same.
