Clear CMOS through the jumper or by removing the CMOS battery for at least 30 seconds. Then power ON PC, press Del or F2 to open BIOS menu. Load fail safe defaults, save and exit. PC will restart and you should be back in business. If PC clock/calendar always goes back to an old time, CMOS battery is dead. Replace it. It is cheap, a lithium CR2032 cell.

It normally used to store BIOS settings like time date and some settings that is not set by default. CMOS will not work without the battery in the motherboard.
