Guys love to try to teach girls about football. Girls who actually and truly enjoy the game are a prize! Watch games and listen to the commentators. Most of them do a decent job of explaining what is going on. Find a group of people who are doing nothing on sunday but watching games and hang out. Ask questions.

Watch it on TV... they will explain a lot of the technical terms for you. If you have a question, ask someone who knows about football, and if all else fails... google it. :) It takes time, but its worth it once you learn. The games are more enjoyable to watch when you know whats going on. Good luck!

You need to just sit down all day on Sunday and watch games. Just watch the ball, and what the players are doing you will get it.

I don't care what anyone says, everyone had a tough time learning every nuance of football.

Oh and by the way...welcome. It's the best sport in the world

Dude, take this from a female. Sometimes, we really don't even understand ourselves. Guys try to understand us, but really, there's no point although we appreciate it. You don't have to go for a certain stereotype. Theres always one person in a group that truly belongs to another, believe it or not. Just try to relate to her. Lower and raise certain aspects of your personality to relate to hers. But remember, don't change yourself completely. Sometimes it takes an opposite personality to attract. Good luck! :)

My hubby had me watch the Bears game with him and I would just ask him questions about stuff I didn't understand. He loved explaining it to me because it thrilled him I was interested. Find a guy/friend and have them teach ya! :)
