Humans are typically considered to be K-selected species when compared the majority of other animal species.

It's important to remember, though, and that the K and R values are relative measures and also encapsulate different strategies, each of which can be employed at various times by members of a given species.

Traditionally, though, when K/R is used to dichotomize the animal kingdom, humans are considered K-selected.

K-selection; we put a huge amount of effort and resources into relatively few offspring.
