Clock faces?

Question

In a drawing of series of clock faces, the minute hand rotates 45 degrees from one clock to the next. If the hand begins pointing straight down, what will be its position on the 11th clock? On the 29th? I think I know the answer but not sure!!??

1st clock straight down, 9th clock straight down; so the 11th will be at number 9.--every 2nd clock it moves 15 minutes.

29th clock--subtract one, divide by 8, on that one, minute hand will have moved 4 segments and point to 12
