Ethan Moreau was named captain on September 16th. An excellent choice as around the NHL he is considered one of the more intelligent players and a very eloquent speaker. The refs love him and his teammates love him.

He was the captain of his midget and junior teams as well.

He'll be a great captain for this young team

Ethan Moreau who recently turned 32 and is signed through the 2010-11 season.

With Kevin Lowe's recent bizarre move of trading away Jason Smith, Moreau seems like a great choice to add stability to a young roster and allow Lowe to save face.

Yea, it appears Ethan Moreau has assumed the captain role for the Oil.

I would personally have picked Steve Staios, but thats just me.
