u will have to do it urself. drop him, and pick up another player from the waiver wire.

Only if you drop him. You can drop players (any players) at any time and pick up another. That said, if you have a player that gets sent down to the minors, then you drafted pretty poorly. Keep a close eye on the free agent list this season. Good luck!
