When i turn it up, the printer goes on, makes the "noise" and then the paper doesn't come out of the "hole thingy" [ i know... i know...] and it says i need to refill paper... it's annoying... sometimes it works perfectly and sometimes not.

It sounds like the printer is not picking up the paper ? I have been answering printer questions for almost 20 years and I'm sorry but I can't help but laugh at the way you wrote this question I know your almost 14, but I can help you if this is the problem. The first thing you need to do is restart your computer just to clear the memory and do the same with the printer and turn it off for 10 seconds to clear it's memory, now try to print something does the printer pick up the paper ? or is it getting jammed in the printer ? If the printer is not picking up the paper I want you to ask your mom or dad to get you a small bottle of rubber renew, they can buy it at a electronics parts supply store and it's not expensive, when you get that you must have some Q tips on hand to do the job, take a look in the slot where you put the paper in and take all the paper out you should see a grey or black rubber pick up roller, you might want a parent to help you with this because it will take a steady hand to do this, dip the Q tip into the rubber renew, turn the Q tip sideways and rub it firmly on the rubber pickup roller you will see it get lighter in color when it's clean and make sure you do the whole roller, the reason I ask you to get a parent to do this is for several reasons, 1 you can NOT let the rubber renew drip or touch the plastic on the printer the renew will eat it, 2 they might have a steadier hand, 3 if they get the renew on the plastic of the printer it is their fault and they can buy you a new one haha just kidding, when thats done give it a try just be carefull with that rubber renew and put the cap back on tight. good luck

Kinda vague.

Does the paper run through but othing on it?

Does the printer even do anything at all?

Does the computer recognize the printer?

Have you tried to uninstall and reinstall the drivers?

Is there ink in the cartridge?

Have you checked the USB cable? Tried a different one?

Tried a different USB port?
