Good question and yes, I am very sick of it. He is but a mere diversion - a dangerous one at that.
He has no concept of what is truly behind radical Islam's hatred of the west and anyone who relies solely upon one report (the (9/11 Commission's) for their information is only showing their own short-sightedness, gullibility and laziness.
I say, 'Get the lunatic off the stage!'

It is not so much that. Everyone is allowed to put thier candidate forward.
Rather there are three things that do annoy me about the Ron Paul crowd (and this is not saying all Ron Paul fans are guilty).
1. Some are extremely arrogant - telling everyone who is not a Paul groupie that it is because we do not understand the situation or we are brainwashed by the media. WRONG. I understand everything Paul is suggesting - I just disagree with most of it.
2. The idiotic posts you see of people claiming to be liberals but suddenly being hit by the light and switching to Paul. No real liberal would back regressive taxation or deporting people born here.
3. The constant refusal to believe any valid poll but then the passion with which they tell everyone that he won the "West Texas , conservative women's straw poll and chilli cook-off" as if it means anything.

I don't really think they are dummies. But they seem to all have tunnel vision and blinders on. I understand supporting a candidate, what I don't understand is the refusal to see or admit reality about that candidate's chances. But it's their dream I guess. What I do get sick of are the campaign ads barely disguised as "questions" that they post here all the time so they can all have a little cheering session and complain about the media. It's definitely annoying at times.

I'm sick of the people on here who only have the mental capacity to say that he and his supporters are "dummies" for talking about their candidate and trying to get his name out there so that the uninformed masses will be aware that you don't have to settle for the lesser of two evils. Here's a link, read about him and make up your own mind, if you don't agree with me that he's the best candidate running, that's fine, it's your right and I respect that enough to not call you a "dummy": http://www.ontheissues.org/Ron_Paul.htm

Ron Paul's popularity right now is at least somewhat understandable. He is especially popular among the younger demographics for a couple of reasons.
1) Technogeeks are overwhelmingly libertarian, because they often have lots of spare income and time and because their day to day experiences lead them to believe that every problem has a technical solution.
2) For people who did not start following politics until between the year 2000 and now, all they have ever known is a completely incompetent federal government on pretty much every level, which makes Ron Paul's rhetoric seem attractive. It's the difference between most of us, who think "Katrina aid was a disaster so we should fire the person in charge" and the Ron Paul fans, who think "Katrina aid was a disaster, so we should just stop doing federal disaster relief."
To answer your question, yes, I am a little tired of it.

It's just a superficial buzz created by the internet-savvy, "American Idol" watching 20-something slackers who have no real concept about politics. He supports legalized marijuana, so that's what is important to them.

No, just why do you think Ron Paul supporters are "dummies"?
Is a person dumb because they support individual freedom and limited government?
Many people grudgingly agree with Ron when he says government screws things up more than it solves problems. But for some reason there are many people who keep thinking the solution to problems are more taxes and more government programs. Which creates more problems, more taxes, more programs...
...And people who tell us how dumb it is to say government is the problem.

I really hope that RuPaul doesn't end up to be a spoiler candidate for the Democrats. It was argued that Ross Perot cost George Bush senior his second term.
He will not win the primary as a Republican. If he goes Independent, please THINK Democrats, before you vote for a completely non viable candidate and cost Democrats the election.
Would you rather spend another 4 years in neo-con hell or settle for what you consider to be less than ideal?
Ron Paul will NOT win the presidency.

you have no idea.
celebrating that your candidate has hit 1.5% somewhere does not mean that an upset is looming.
the worst part is that i'm a libertarian. but i at least recognize that the rest of the world isn't. that's fine. i don't think it's appropriate for me to lie and say that they are something they're not.
and even as a libertarian, i refuse to support a psycho like ron paul.
