ii feel the same way we waste more money housing these felons that could be used to do more good elsewhere. in china they put a bullet in your head and the prisoners family pays for the bullet . we are more humane by the lethal injection and the process is painless unless someone screws it up. i for one like China's way because its fast and cheap

The United States is by far the most punative government already.

"As a percentage of total population, the United States also has the largest imprisoned population, with 738 people per 100,000 serving time, awaiting trial or otherwise detained."

Prison population per 100,000 inhabitants the USA imprisons 743, whereas, Australia, UK, Turkey, Canada, Germany, Italy, France, Vietnam, Sweden, Denmark, Japan, and Iceland iceland imprison at a much lower number: 126 124 107 102 98 92 80 75 64 61 37 29 respectively.

The United States even provides the torture that you advocate for inmates in Abu Ghraid and Guantanamo Bay detainment camps. These facilities, according to the Bush administration, can house US citizens as well, without access to courts and they can be held indefinitely. Techniques used at these facitities are considered torture by international convention.

Are you suggesting we take this even further?
