Hi,
My moment in the Sun boosted my confidence, gave me more faith in myself and made me a stronger person. No shadows were cast because my nature before, during and after has never changed. No arrogance, conceit or sense of superiority, always quiet, gentle and unassuming. Often working in the background leaving it for others to take the applause.

Did your moment in the sun make you lose the lightened shadow? - cast = doubt/shadow or magic too).
Or, did you lose the substance (sun/light/awareness) by grasping it at the shadow?
To answer, the pure consciousness (sun/light) is but a 'nothing' or doesn't exist (it is impossible); till we are bewaring of the pure consciousness (sun) - awareness becomes possible. The pure consciousness is the essence of the life which doesn't exist (shadow) now and here (then and here).

Don't all moments in the sun cast a shadow, I remember mine I lost a friend.
Shadows cast upon pitiful souls end relationships that should not be.
In Lamens terms, when in your 15 minutes of fame you will find out quickly who your true friends are.

every moment in the sun casts a shadow. when you're in the light, there will always be a chance to go to darkness. when you're happy, it gives you the capability of becoming sad. however, when i am in the sun, i never notice the shadows becuase they are cast below me and underfoot

No, till I was unaware that what is running is my moment in the sun!!
And then, before I could understand it was over! (No, it was not momentary; it was long, only I was naive. So I kept being what I had been! Will you believe this?)
And then I realised what I had been through!! I looked around and saw everywhere people with shadows in the sun.
And then I realised how blessed I am.
Innocence and ignorance saved my day (and afterwards, my night too)!!!

wow... that is a pretty wide black question...
yes it did, and was with me as long as i was in the sun. when i moved in the shade it disappeared and when i came out again another time a different shadow came up to accompany me - shorter or longer than the first one, on my right than on my left.....was different.
now, how the shadows affect my moments in the sun is another question, right?

No it hasn't yet. But when it does I hope it will be sunrise rather than sunset for either times cast long shadows rather than short ones.

My shadow is Sam...He's my shadow upon waking up in the morning till I go to sleep at night. Sunshine or no sunshine.

Yes it did. Light cannot exist without shadow.

Each and every time. That's why I like to stay away from the light.
I'd prefer to reflect the light somewhere else. It gets easier as I get older and balder :)
Peace
