Two teams Colorado Rockies and the San Diego Padres finished with the same regular season record so the tiie breaker is a one game playoff to see which team wins the wild card playoff berth which is the best team that did not win a division.

Because their is a tie for the NL Wild Card and by rule a one game playoff needs to happen to crown a winner. It's gonna Sweet!! Cheers!
