Although a couple of jurisdictions lend themselves to document preparers, the vast majority do not. Either do it yourself, or hire an attorney who will use a paralegal to write the papers (and therefore charge you less to do so).
A paralegal is not authorized under the law to provide this service...therefore, you have no regulatory board to register a complaint, and it's doubtful that there is any malpractice insurance.

No, paralegals may not "draw up" or draft legal papers. Paralegals may only work under the direct supervision of an attorney, who works directly for you, the client.
However, if you know what you want (sounds like you do - legal separation), you can hire a document preparer, called a Legal Document Assistant (LDA) in some jurisdictions. An LDA is a non-attorney who is authorized under the law to provide "self-help" legal services to the public. An LDA will save you money vs. an attorney because you are only paying for the forms to be prepared, not for the "legal advice" that you would get from a lawyer.

a paralegal service or a paralegal can draw up the papers. it's the attorney that can only represent you in court. btw...who do you think draws up those papers in the attorney's office anyway?? always a paralegal. unless of course the attorney doesn't even have a staff.

Yes....as long as the paralegal knows exactly what papers are needed in your jurisdiction.
If you knew what papers to file you could do it yourself.

The first thing you must know is if you want to save your marriage and if you find yourself alone in this desire, waiting for the other spouse to make the first move is the beginning of the end. Learn here https://tinyurl.im/aHL2k If you are looking for someone to blame or someone else to put the emotional and physical work into saving the marriage, again, it's going to fail.
