Jayz--Of course you know the track record-Take over, Dead Pres, Allure

LL Cool J---has at least one or two hits on each album...I think his worst album has to be 16 shots to the Dome--4321, Jack the Ripper, Back Seat, Radio

Nas-has the same with all his albums-Ether, Life's a B, If I Ruled, Moment

MC Lyte--was very consistent untill that last album she came out with--10% dis, Ruff Neck, Poor Georgie, Cha Cha Cha, Keep On

Queen Latifah--is still banging hits out and this time its not even rap...even tho her last hip hop album wasnt the best but the ones before and after that she still in there--Give it To Em, UNITY, Another Day, Princess of the Posse, Wrath of My Madness

Common- I even liked Electric Circus it just has to grow on you...just different...but it came back with BE--Come Close, Resurrection, People, H.E.R.

Outcast-just changing the game...Ms. jackson, souternplayalistic, BOB,

ATCQ-Find a way, Stressed Out, Senario, Check the Rhyme, El Segundo

IMO Jay-Z has Been The Most Consistent Mainstream Rapper

From '96 to '02, Jay-Z dropped a new album each year(even though I don't consider The Dynasty album a solo), and in 2003 he claimed he was dropping his last one. Of course we know now that his "retirement" was really just a 3 year break from the game before coming back in '06. This wasn't his first time he was claiming he wanted to retire, he said it probably after every album that came after Reasonable Doubt, but really the timing was never right. I mean...he could have left after his 1st or 2nd(Vol. 1) albums but he didn't get the sales he wanted, so even though one was a slept-on classic(RD,at the time) it was like failure to a hustler like him. Then with Vol. 2 he blows up in the mainstream, he's too "hot"(cough*sold out*) to stop now. Vol. 3, he's still got the pop charts here(he's established himself on them), but he wants to leave(he's satisfied), so he tries to get his Roc la Familia to blow(espeacially Bleek), but it doesn't work(he's hold the Roc on his shoulders alone basically so if he leaves it's done). With The Blueprint he was bringing his skills back into his music, a new sound(production-wise), people were saying it was a comeback & a classic, plus he was battling Nasir Jones. Then with Blueprint 2 he dropped a double album just because he could, his beef with Nas was still lingering plus he still put out "hits", but this didn't get many good reviews overall.

Okay, Kanye West is a poser. He's consistent....consistently terrible! He has nothing to say except one-liners (which he occasionaly hits. Even a broken clock is right twice a day!). He should never have been given a mike (STAY BEHIND THE TURN-TABLES!).

As for my opinion, I would say either Busta Rhymes, who has 15+ years under his belt, and who's rhymes haven't gotten tired. He still speaks with passion. His beats are still tight and original (which isn't easy to do). And he still has great artistic vision - look at videos like Put Your Hands Where My Eyes Could See and In the Ghetto.

On the other hand, Outkast (yes, I know it's two guys) is probably a close second, though I think that they have definately gotten better over time (though they where HYPE to begin with). Early years are totally underrated. If you haven't checked them out, do so. ATLIENS, Bombs over Bahgdad, Elevators, just to name a few.

Think Scarface, Common, Nas, & Outkast have been the most consistent through the years. Those artists have the best catologs of albums, & classic songs. I wanna say Ice Cube but he just came back last year when his last album was out in 2000 which sucked & so was the one before. Cube when he first came out solo was pretty consistent. Now he's not.

I gotta go with Jay-Z he has dropped album after album that are pure platnium and even his worst was still gold. I think he kinda has every body spoiled because he is the best so we expect the best. I especially appriciate the fact that he is smart enough to get through to the real hip hop heads and he is hood enough to make the rap fans listen to.

Ice cube. His stuff with NWA replaced into tight and Amerikkas maximum needed replaced into alright, yet dying Cerificate, Predator and deadly Injection have been basically classics. grasp P is yet another one. grasp P replaced right into a godawful rapper on get away sparkling and Mamas undesirable Boy (inspite of the undeniable fact that the Ooh s*** track is a classic). P did get greater perfect although. Ghettos Tryin to Kill Me and ninety 9 the right thank you to die have been markedly greater perfect, yet the place he had his genuine leap forward replaced into on the Tru albums and on the albums he dropped whilst back in New Orleans, his 2 terrific albums have been Ghetto Dope and Ice Cream guy. i think of C-homicide is likewise yet another one. His delivery has more suitable lots as a results of fact the 90s and he has to get a point out basically as a results of fact he replaced into in a position to record the lyrics of an total album acapella from a reformatory cellular. 2pac stayed in many situations an identical. Biggie replaced into greater perfect on waiting to Die than on existence After dying. Lil Wayne have been given worse. Puffy have been given worse (his basically reliable album replaced into No way Out) Lil Kim have been given worse. Eminem initially have been given greater perfect. His flows have been the main reliable on Marshall Mathers and The Eminem coach, as a results of a a good distance better inflection over narrow Shady. one would desire to argue that he has more suitable on the recent album as a results of fact he makes use of recent rhyming varieties in spite of the undeniable fact that that's hard to take at first in case you have been a fan circa ninety 9-02 50 somewhat did worsen. Dre stayed an identical. i understand human beings will disagree, yet Outkast somewhat have been given worse.

I would have to say Nas, he's still coming out with albums. His most recent album, Hip Hop Is Dead, really was pretty good
