I've done one like that before and used casting resin as the sealer. You need to build a dam around the surface of the table to keep the resin from running off the surface. Take your photos or whatevers and double back tape them to the table top. Plan on pouring about 1/4" of casting resin over the top. It dries crystal clear with no bubbles. I'm sure that you can find it at a hobby store or craft store like Michael's.
Good luck.

The product you want to use is "EnviroTex Lite pour-on." It is marketed by ETI...Environmental Technology, Inc. Fields Landing, CA 95537 USA (707) 443-9323.
I don't know if the address and phone # are still good-often you can find "pour-on" at hobby or craft stores. It is a two part (resin/hardner) product. You can buy it in different sizes-I have seen kits as big as a gallon. I have used it many times over the years to seal photos and/or momentos to wood plaques. It is a great product. I will caution you that if exposed to direct sunlight-it will yellow and eventually crack. If you can, I recommend that you find an instruction sheet so you know how involved the project can be. One of the specified uses does involve table tops. Good Luck-hope this helps.

THE EASIEST WAY IS TO BUILD A SWALLOW SHADOW BOX ON THE SURFACE OF THE TABLE, GLUE THE ITEMS INSIDE (OR DOUBLE-SIDED TAPE JUST TO KEEP THEM FROM MOVING IN THE NEXT STEP), GO TO YOUR LOCAL CRAFT STORES AND THEY HAVE SEVERAL TYPES OF CLEAR EPOXY FILLERS. MAKE SURE THAT IT IS NICE AND LEVEL AND WELL VENTILATED AND LET IT CURE WARNING THE EPOXIES CAN BE VERY EXPENSIVE FOR A BIG TABLE.

You can use a product called Bar Top. You can get it at a lumber yard or DIY store. They may have to order it.
