Instead try going as Marlene Angel from Blue Gender- an older series (http://myanimelist.net/character.php?id=3353 ), Mireille Bouquet from Noir (http://myanimelist.net/character.php?id=2259 ), or for lot's of fun, a giant Shinku from Rozen Maiden (http://myanimelist.net/character.php?id=1073&display=pictures ). The last may fit your preference of gothic lolita the best.

With all the cosplay out there just go as who you want...as long as it's your interpretation and shows how much you love the anime by putting your efforts into making the costume then who cares if you're tall? I mean, look at all the fat Sailor Moon's out there?
